We made it
After a bit over 3 hours we made it to our destination with no problems. The traffic wasn't bad at all. When we headed out, it was raining at our house. We had rain for the first half of the ride, then it did clear up. At my grandparents, the sun was out, just really windy. We sure did shock them by coming down to visit. That felt great to do. My grandfather was out on his deck, and instantly smiled and was excited to see my daughter and myself. My grandmother was in the house working on dinner. We sent my daughter into the house and my grandmother started yelling in excitement. It was great, I think I even did see tears.
Their house is beautiful. They live in the country which is really nice. They have 4 acres total. My Uncle and Aunt live there in a seperate home. The afternoon was a bit rough with my daughter. Of course being 3 1/2 years old, she was bored. I took her for a walk down the street where they have horses. That made her happy. My youngest cousin arrived home a bit after 4pm. He was happy to see us as well. He instantly took my daughter out in the yard and had her running around chasing a baseball. She loved it, finally something fun to do.
That evening we had Fish, Pierogie Casserole and corn for dinner. It was great, I hadn't had pierogie casserole in years. After dinner we went out on their deck and were just relaxing.
My cousin came back outside and took my daughter out and played basketball with her. My Aunt and Uncle both came home from work and come over to chit chat.
It was a good day! Around 9pm I was even able to get onto my Uncle's wireless network and the daughter and I talked to Daddy. It was nice because I was able to turn on the cam and daddy got to see his lil Chickie.
Bedtime was not so fun. We brought my daughters princess cot along, however she really wasn't thinking that was a great idea. Luckily, my mom was able to find Spongebob on TV, so she was then happy. (They have satelite tv which we do not have, so it's a bit different for us).
The daughter finally felt asleep after midnight. My mother had no trouble going to sleep, so hearing her snoring was a bonus....Yeah right! I was awake till after 1am. I woke several times through out the night because I was hot. I heard my grandfather around 4am. He wakes throughout the night and will come out to his recliner. At around 7am I could hear him making eggs....Ahhh, so much for sleeping beyond 8am.
Today my grandmother has therapy, she has trouble walking so her doctor thought giving therapy wouldn't be a bad thing. It is really helping her lots!! Kudos to the doctor. After therapy we will go over to Sam's Club so my grandparents can stock up on things they need.
Hopefully today will be another good day! I am going to try to get some pictures today, so I may even post some up here!!
Heading Out
OK this will be my last post before heading out today for 4 days. We are all packed, just need to load the rest into the car.
Have a good weekend! See you Sunday.

I have never really watched American Idol. My niece has always enjoyed it. If she was upstairs watching it and we went up, that is when I would see bits of it.
If you missed it and want to see who made the final 2....check this out. If you haven't watched it, and don't care to see the results don't click the link!!

Almost all packed
I did get a majority of the packing done today. Just have to get last minute things tomorrow morning. The daughter was informed today we were going on a "Girls Vacation". She is so excited. Its 11:15pm and she still isn't sleeping!! Telling her we were going away tomorrow might not have been the best thing to do.
I am just hoping we don't get much rain over the next 4 days. It will be enough to deal with being someplace else, let along stuck indoors due to rain LOL.
4 days away
Thursday (tomorrow) my mother, daughter and I will be heading to my grandparents for a 4 day adventure. My grandparents have always lived close to us, up until 3 years ago. They moved about 3 hours away and not even in the same state. They do come to stay the weekend with us about once a month. Since they have moved, I have never been to their house. I felt it was time I finally took the time and went to visit at their house.
My grandparents do not know that the daughter and I are going along. They believe my mother is going alone. I know when we get there they will be THRILLED! My daughter does no wrong in their eyes and they absolutely adore her.
As it's getting closer to time to go, I am questioning myself as to why I agreed to go along LOL They live in the country, so I don't have to worry about traffic with the daughter. The fear I have is no internet access for 4 days!!! I am going to be taking the laptop along to do some writing as I have time, as well as a book to read.
I have the daughters clothing packed, now I just need to pack toys to keep her occupied while there.
