Sick Daughter

by Tazeee Email

Well today the daughter wakes up telling me she is still tired. I didn't think much of it, so throughout the morning she just laid around. She woke around 9am and it was about 10am I thought I should take her temperature. Sure enough she was running a fever of 100.2

I did the Tylenol, which didn't seem to help at all. I ran and picked up Children s Motrin that was dye free. Our daughter has a reaction to red #40 (she gets all nasty and mean. I will be doing up a section just on Red #40).I gave her Motrin at 4:30pm and sure enough within an hour she was much better! We have gone back and forth throughout the evening with her feeling better and not feeling so well. I think she has a sore throat or something else going on as well.

10pm and she was running a 101.6 fever. I know it's going to be a long night for sure. We gave her more Motrin at 10:30pm and by 11:30pm she was dozing off on the sofa near mommy. She didn't sleep long, and was up after about an hour rest. We watched some tv together and now at 2am, she said she is no longer sick and wanted to go to bed (in her bed even). I checked her temperature and it was down to 98.7. I just hope she is ok till 9am when the doctor's office opens.

I am off to bed just as soon as I know she is sleeping sound enough for me to sneak to bed for some well awaited sleep.

I watch this when I am upstairs giving the daughter her bath some nights. My mother watches the show so I would see bits and pieces of it.

I told my mom a few weeks ago that is who I thought would win.

Glad to be back home

by Tazeee Email

I am glad to be back home, I missed Smoka lots!! We decided to leave the grandparents house Saturday around 5pm. Sleeping on a sleeper sofa is enough after a few days. The daughter was being really good, however I knew rain was in the forecast. I figured why not drive home Saturday evening vs. Sunday Morning. The traffic was great, we hit none. We arrived home around 9pm, right in the middle of a bad storm. I had hopes of letting the daughter go into the house first, to suprise Daddy and Pappy. The storm was right overhead, so I had to go in and get an umbrella. It was pouring down rain, so Daddy went out to the car to get his Chickie.

She was so happy to see daddy, almost as happy as he was to see her. It was so cute seeing her hang all over her daddy.

The visit was great! I really enjoyed spending time with my grandparents and seeing their house. I would do it again, however 2 days is more than enough time for me. I had packed a book to read, however chasing after a 3 1/2 year old allows no time for reading. She had lots of area to run around in, but I am the type of mom that is always doing my best to watch her. I know my daughter and can just imagine what she would try if I wasn't constantly watching.

Yesterday's Afternoon Adventure

by Tazeee Email

Yesterday we headed out around 1pm. We went and had lunch at Olive Garden (it was great). After lunch we headed to Sam's Club so my grandparents could stock up on supplies. We were at Sam's in Dover, Delaware and man was it packed. I got to see Dover Raceway/Dover Downs. It amazed me how the track is in the middle of shopping malls. We headed back home after a long afternoon. I was hoping the daughter would fall asleep on the ride back (it's about an hour drive) but no luck.

We got back, unloaded the packed van then just sat around chit chatting. My youngest cousin came out and played with my daughter. He took her for a ride on the dune buggy, which she totally loved. There are 4 acres so the kids can ride all the toys they have (which they have tons). The youngest boy is 12 and man can he ride a dirt bike like a pro. He has been riding them since he's really small though. Now my daughter looks for him to come out so she can go back on the dune buggy.

My Uncle, Aunt, and 2 cousins came over and we all sat on the deck talking. After about 3 hrs (around 8pm) everyone was hungry so we all parted and went on for dinner.

It was another hot, humid day so at 10pm it was still 81 degree's inside. I opened all the windows in the dinning room and prayed it would cool down quickly. We just are too spoiled at home in the central air!

At night the daughter gets to talk to daddy via the internet, then she starts saying how she wants to go home and misses her daddy. I love being here, just wish there was more to do. If she asks to talk to daddy, I am not about to tell her no.

She just now come to me saying she wanted to go home. That means she is bored. My mom is inside laying on the sofa and has a show on the TV for her, but that must not have her attention either. It looks as if we could get rainy anytime. I hope it clears up for this afternoon. I do not want to be stuck in the house all day.

I know there is a huge car show in Ocean City this weekend. My Uncle and his family said they will be going down to it. If Smoka was here, I would make him take me to it! I always have enjoyed seeing old cars and how nice people fix them up for show.

My other Aunt lives nearby (about an hour away) and will be coming over this afternoon after work. Other than that, it's going to be a long boring day I fear. LOL

That's all for now, have to go see what the daughter is into.
